I am environmental biologist with a BSc and MSc from the University of Crete (UOC). I am interested in environmental microbiology, particularly in topics related to community composition, interactions between different taxonomic groups, responses to stressors, and the mechanisms of resilience and resistance. Currently, I am working on the AquaBioSens project, developing assays for Environmental RNA sensing to detect harmful microbes and Diatom whole-cell biosensors for heavy metal quantification.
